    Default Weiss Report

Spent sat. and after church sun. on Weiss with a large portion of the population of the state of Kentucky. Caught 40 sat limit Sun. all quality fish. Fish are suspended in river channel at about 15 feet. Caught ours spider rigging but many were caught trolling. temps in 7os this week will move fish into creeks and sloughs I think. I would post pictures but not that savy with technology.

We were one of boats from Ky and we had a great weekend on Weiss. We caught our limit Friday and Saturday with three of us using the same technique only we were around 20 feet deep. I agree they should move into the creeks soon. We had to leave Wednesday to get in front of the snow and glad we missed it. It was freaking cold Friday morning when we went out though, but better than shoveling snow.

HMMMm just wondering with Kentucky lake and Reelfoot between here and Kentucky and both of them still have pretty good crappie populations why so many Kentuckians coming to Weiss, granted is weiss is a little farther along pre-spawn than those 2 lakes I would think☻

Ky lake and Reelfoot are in the far western end of the states and it's not that much farther to drive to Weiss and also the fish do start biting a little earlier down there. I've been coming to Weiss for a lot of years and like the people down there and the way everyone treats you. Great place to visit.
