Default *WARNING* Town Creek Area (Please Read)

Ok, I feel the need to share this with you all, in case you fish Town Creek.

This is TRUTH and nothing short of it. I'll try my best to be nice here ...

Ok, so we leave our house at 2 AM yesterday heading for a good Crappie trip to Town Creek. It was a pleasant drive. We stopped and picked up our snacks and minnows, knowing there would be a Crappie Tournament, we decided to get on the water by 4:30 AM. Now lets get to it ...

So, when we arrive we see 1 boat trolling up to the bridge and thought, it would be a good time to chat with fellow fisherman and just relax. We both needed this break with him being a cop and my mother about to have heart surgery. Anyways, I'm just a very disappointed in this situation and disgusted at this evil doing. We did not deserve what I am about to share with you.

We got setup, never dropped a board, made loud noise or anything. We dropped a green light in the water and set up the boards and got our poles in the water. As soon as our poles hit the water, these guys turn on their big mud motor and turned the back of the boat towards us, opened it wide open, then circled back and came through the IDLE ONLY SPEED area at full speed causing big wakes. Then, they drove off and about 5 minutes later we thought it was all over, here they come again ... but this is where it gets interesting ... they disappeared for about 15 minutes. Never heard a sound. Then, again, they came back through trolling slowly and loaded up and left. We kept right along fishing, ended up with 30 Crappie (only 15 over 10"). We tossed the little ones back.

Ok, so then we leave out at 2 PM ... both of his tires were flat. They took a pebble and unscrewed the valve cap to the air and placed the pebble in there and tightened the cap back on, causing his tires to go flat. Just pure evil.

BOAT IN QUESTION: 2 guys look to be in their early 20's, I know the owner of the boat always has a hat on (well, the last 2 times I've seen him) and a little camo. Duck boat. Has LED on the front. May have more LED lights on the inside as well. I believe so. It has a big mud motor on the back. I'm sure we'll meet again in the future. But they should know he is a cop and the next time this may not be so funny.

I've seen them twice here, so they are regualrs at Town Creek. So just be mindful and pay attention. If you come across these guys and they act up, you need to watch your stuff.

Thanks for letting me share. Have a great day.
Thanks Boyce thanked you for this post

You had to have been there. They were really being very ugly. They were the only people out there with us. They probably got upset because we showed up. From what I gather from others, this isnt the first time this happened. This happened to someone else when they took that spot. First they didnt speak, then turned their motor wide open and shot water at us then rode off then came back full speed right by us, then disappeared and that happened? Put it together. We've been at least 20 times and never had an issue.

I just don't think a random person would target our vehicle and there was at least 6 other trucks with trailers there when we left out. Mind you this was at 4:30am and it was still dark and they were the only people there acting a fool at that time. I'm just advising others here that if this happens to them there to watch out and I am explaining why I posted this and who I saw cutting up. Thats it.

No sir. When we got there they saw us pull in. We parked close to them. We were the only ppl there when all this happened. We stayed and they left. When we left at 2pm, there were the other vehicles there. I'm saying, I doubt after they left that someone just randomly picked us out of the other vehilces. But we will run into them again I'm sure.

Thank you sir. Always. The guy I fish with is law enforcement, so we'll be watching. We were catching a lot of little 10" fish. I think that place is just fished too hard. We might try somewhere else for a while. Too many boats come thru and they don't follow the idle speed law and just inconciderate.

We went to Town Creek HWY 227. When you cross the bridge and go around the curve, there is a boat launch and parking lot to the left. That is where we were. We've been back twice since then and haven't seen them.
