Default Recommendations for Gulf Shores Guide

    Hi All,

We are taking a trip to Gulf Shores in early August and looking for recommendations for an all day offshore fishing charter. Would prefer to bottom fish/throw lures (to Mahi and other species etc.) over trolling, open to a variety of species in no particular order: Grouper, Mahi, Cobia, Snapper (Reds will be out of season I know), AJs (I heard they are closed as well) and anything else that we can catch. We routinely offshore fish off the coast of Southwest Florida so getting into different species beyond Red and Gag Grouper, AJs, Mangrove Snapper and Goliaths would be a bonus but not a necessity. There will be four of us fishing ranging in age from 16 to 55 all serious fisherman although 1 has a tendency to get seasick from time to time, how for out do the charters go for a 12 hour trip? Would appreciate all of your recommendations and we will be basing our decision primarily off of 1) quality of the merits and success of the guide and 2) someone with a good personality who is the kind of person you would like to spend 12 hours with. Thanks in advance for your help!

We will be at Gulf Shores the middle of July, looking into off shore fishing for a day. On the different websites I'm finding $3,000 per 10 to 12 hour trip 1 to 8 persons plus 2% tip to deck hands.

I would ask that question over on the pensacola fishing forum. Lots of reports and charter guy stuff there including a "charter boats to stay away from" thread
