Default Scouting trip - lake Eufaula

Ms Doe and I went out on the south end of the lake yesterday. I knew the conditions would be far from ideal with beautiful weather bringing out the recreational boaters and a stiff ESE wind, but given my lack of experience with Gill and SC, we needed to put a little time in. We are spending 5 days/nights at Lakepoint next weekend. We didn’t do much - managed a handful of small gills. We didn’t have the right tackle either - we had to use 1/32 jig heads with bobby garland itty bitty plastics. I remedy that this week.

Here are some images of some beds I found on my SI unit. Would you consider these good targets? Name: IMG_1018.jpg

Excellent targets in my opinion. They should develop more beds every couple weeks or so

Try the 1" sliders, the gills love them. They have them at Basspro, but only a handful of colors. I usually order mine from here.
