Today, 07:20 PMgabowman replied to a thread A twist for using the double uni knot ... in Main Crappie Fishing ForumLike those fas snaps but it would depend on cost and how much youre hanging and breaking off. It can go really fast by having a snap swivel on the end of the braid and have multiple double jigs already tied on the mono by loop knots and kept in seperate snack baggies. Just pull one out and tie onto the snap swivel when needed.5 replies | 586 view(s)

Today, 06:59 PMPardon me, but the problem seems to be with the others that are using the boat. Maybe a sit down and talk with them would solve the issue. Sent from my iPad using Crappie.com13 replies | 265 view(s)

Today, 06:23 PMRespectfully speaking the water must have a way in. I see countless boats pick up at any given ramp, the owners walk to the transom, and pull their plugs and gallons of water runs out and not think a thought about how it got there or care. Not a drop is supposed to run out unless you got caught in a rain storm. Sprint grade boats like Blazers of...7 replies | 78 view(s)

Today, 06:13 PMI only use epoxy for hull stringer & transom work but no, epoxy has a 3000 psi adhesion to Polyester's 300 psi, epoxy will take more twisting and abuse, but the lamination design, lay up practices (bagging is best), of course adding Carbon fiber stiffens, but a well foamed in stringer system has no replacement. Several of the better built boats...7 replies | 78 view(s)

Today, 05:56 PMThe Lunakia I have is 610 with tubular tip and it is not as soft as Phenix Mirage. If I recall correctly, that is the blank you built on. Not sure how the shorter solid tip models would compare, but I would hazard a guess and say they would be faster than Mirage. I need to make a post on the rod building page about the effects of swapping the...16 replies | 450 view(s)

Today, 05:47 PMThe 63 is rated Light Medium Light. But that is a light game rod rating. The Japanese are very detailed in all things fishing. For instance a bass UL rated rod is not same as an area trout UL rated rod. The 63 Lunakia would be considered an UL rod by any US fisherman that picks it up. But I wouldn’t call the 63 soft. I know it is a hoot to fish...16 replies | 450 view(s)
