Today, 12:28 AMYes I was. Dropped in about 8 after breakfast with my queen. I was looking for gills but was hoping for anything dumb enough to hit my jig. I found lots of players today. First, I found gills, about 15 or em. Then I ran out of bank and I played with some Crappie on a deep tree. I got burned out on them and didn’t want to give up my find so I moved...0 replies | 5 view(s)

Yesterday, 10:27 PMWhen checking the timing, see what the service manual says for the timing indicator to be on that engine when using a light (example: Light connected to cylinder #1 and proper timing is 4 degrees or whatever number before TDC at recommended idle speed.) I would set timing with the air box on it and everything else that sets the motor up to run...28 replies | 633 view(s)

Yesterday, 10:00 PMI like to longline troll and am always trying to improve my technique... Jig heads...I tie a double jig setup with two 1/16th size round jig heads spread around 2-3 feet apart. I`ve read other threads where people run a double jig setup with like a 1/16 th at the top and maybe a 1/32nd at the tail..What do others prefer? I like a #2 Sickle...0 replies | 25 view(s)

Yesterday, 09:58 PMMan, you've been racking up excellent numbers of fish. Been a while since I found numbers like that on the lake I usually fish. I'm headed back out tomorrow, we'll see, but I think you are right about it beeing early yet.3 replies | 45 view(s)

Yesterday, 09:56 PMWithout seeing one, it would be almost impossible to guess. However I would have to agree with the above statements. Of coarse if the marabou stems laid parallel to the hook shank I'd say glue or some transparent sewing nylon like thread, And if palmered or spun around the hook shank, again I'd say the transparent nylon thread material. It's very...3 replies | 65 view(s)

Yesterday, 09:52 PMI`m curious what the general consencus is regarding long lining with a double jig setup regarding jig head size. I`ve always used two 1/16 th jig heads but I`ve read where some like the 1/16th at the top and perhaps a 1/32nd at the tail. Interested in hearing from others how you setup.. Yesterday, 09:38 PMI say not quite. One of the bait shops as says they’re on the bank everywhere but no one else seems to say that. So I beat up Otter Creek for quite a while this afternoon. It was a beautiful day and I wasn’t terribly committed. Quite a few other boats trying the bank with no luck, others say they were doing ok in 12 fow. Finally just...0 replies | 23 view(s)

Yesterday, 09:34 PMClownfish replied to a thread Finally Got The Sergeant Out on the Ville for a couple of hours in Missouri FishingNice job guys!! Good looking fish, tailfins getting rough. Heard the same thing about the late bite, also heard through the grapevine that the last fish sampling at the Ville showed more 10” crappie than ever, the changing of the limits seems to be working. Yesterday, 08:56 PMHad more fun than the law should allow today. Me and a buddy went out to Bald Knob Lake and proceeded to catch a ton of bluegill, a few shell cracker, and a few shell cracker bluegill mix. Used to keep a fish counter in the boat but no longer have one. Found one bed that I estimate had over 100 fish on it. Used the Diplomat Extreme 62 UL for a...3 replies | 45 view(s)
