Welcome from Alabama. Why not post a few pics of the bumblebees and a few that you personally use. I'm sure the forum would love to see them.

This board is for tying and helping people learning to tie so maybe you can post some pics and instructions on how to tie them?

Just want to congradulate this site as the most informative and
helpful I have came across. If one reads the posts on here and
accepts the help offered, I see no reason they can't learn and
be tying their own jigs and flies. Thank all of you for a really good
    job..

Hello from East Texas. I am going in for back surgery and I am going to try to attempt to do some tying during my recovery. I am wondering what kit y'all would recommend for a beginner. I know this has been answered thousands of times. But, i wasn't sure if someone found something better this year. I don't really want to go buy each separate piece to learn with. I was thinking a good kit/tying station (throw the vise away!) and get a danvise. I am not wanting to spend a bunch because of the future hospital bills coming in! All the advise would greatly be appreciated.

Tools you will need to do it right....
    Vise!
A Whip Finish tool ( know the one that comes with kits is not the one you will need) You will need a Matarelli style whip finisher. Also you will need the following:
Several bobbins for holding the thread, don't buy really cheap ones as they will just make you crazy and also don't buy the most expensive as it's not needed.
Good Pair of scissors,(I think one kind of large ones and one that has a very pointed tip).
Bobbin threader (can use the dental floss threader for that),
Bodkin (big needle with a handle,
    Jig heads,
Chenille (not Walmart brand junk)size #2 and the Nylon is better than the Rayon, but some colors only come in Rayon.
Thread (don't get sewing thread, get flat waxed tying thread),
Feathers (strung neck hackle & marabou blood quills if you want),
May want some flash, I recommend Krystal Flash in colors and some silver and gold tinsel flash (can use Christmas tree tinsel)or maybe even some Holo Gold & Silver.

    This is what Skip posted.................
