Beer-Battered Fried Fish Recipe
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 corn meal
lager beer (any brand)
salt & pepper
Mix flour in a bowl. Add salt and pepper to taste. Pour beer and mix well until a somewhat thick pancake batter in consistency. Let stand for three to five minutes.
Heat grease in a cast iron skillet for best results. Sunflower seed oil works best. Dip fish in batter until well coated. Place in fryer carefully. Cook until golden brown, turn and repeat. Cook until internal temperature reached 145 deg. F.
Serve with your favorite sauce.

Yup! Cast iron is the best! My mom has a bacon press. She uses it for everything, e.g., hamburgers, Bologna everything.
This was whiting bought from the grocery store. It was very good honestly. I could tell the fish had been in freezer too long. The oils in the meat had started to go rank.
Thanks for the video funbun…Yes, hard to beat good old cast iron. You need to follow those fish with some hush puppies.
