Started trolling with big motor and it is tough trying to keep boat straight and wind in fish by yourself in the wind. Put out the seven lines and within about 5 minutes had three on. One nice crappie, a nice perch and an almost 2 lb white bass. Fished for a few hours. Ended up with 4 nice crappie and a few smaller ones, 3 big cats, 3 or 4 nice perch and probably 6 or 7 nice white bass. Had many bites that didn’t take it. Most of the time those are perch. Good day just tough wind. Threw everything back.
    I like your persistance.

I went to high rock this past Saturday. This was the first trip I've been able to make this year. Ended up keeping 27 crappie. All of them caught on crankbaits. I usually catch most of my fish in the main lake this time of year but couldn't beg a bite out there early that morning. Found the fish in the first little cove south of second creek. Rarely fish this cove but the crappie and catfish had the bait pushed up in to this cove on this day. We caught 10 catfish that I never keep and a couple them were over 10 pounds. Was a chore trying to get them in on my crappie rods.

Love pulling cranks on high rock lake. They really seem to work very well on that lake more so than Badin or Tillery. Curious if anyone has had much success on wateree pulling crankbaits.

If you are speaking of "Doctors neck" which is the little creek just south of 2nd creek, that bad boy is loaded with brush! Any size for this time of year?!

Most of the fish we caught were 10-12". Good size for fileting.
