Look up Roger Gant and Brad Whitehead for info on side pulling. That's what I have gone to. Requires a separate hand control TM but they are cheap and with the right bracket are very convenient. If you didn't want to go that route maybe use small planer boards to steer the line away from the bow.

I am using a G3 stick steer.I run 10 rod holders 2 driftmaster 2 holder tee bars for front and back on each side.I also run 2 singles on back by motor.10 rods is as much as you have room for.Great boat for trolling, sets lower wind doesn't blow me around to bad.Don't have any trouble with up turn at front but not using a foot controlled trolling motor.

Do you happen to have any pics of your setup?

I had a sea nymph, now lowes, 16’ bare bones stick boat with a 25hp Johnson for power. Loved it but my back didn’t like the bouncing in the front seat. If I had a smooth moves seat of something similar, I might still have it. If you have a creative mind you can set them up to fish any way you like. I would consider another one if my budget allowed.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around

My thoughts also. If you are all electric and not needing to make long runs at all, side pulling seems like it would open up all of the room in your boat making it easier for 2 people to stay out of each other's way.

That is what I did. Mine, a 16/48 ss grumman.
I had set up for 4 up front with 10” bird graph and networked a 7” bird in the back with option to run 4 poles on either side in the back. Great set up and as mentioned, lighter and super easy to fish by yourself. Of note, the back seat caught just as many if not more than the front seat.

Perfect! Those rods in the back, are they setup for what they call side trolling?

Some set it up like this. Zoom in on Brad's rig and you can see his side trolling motor and his orange rod holders for side pulling. Name: Screenshot_20220626-205850_Chrome.jpg
