It was a trip out on the water and fish were caught. Sure makes for a good fishing trip in my book
Yes, it makes three. That was my take today that I was able to hold in my hand. One five inch Gill that tried to take the rod out of my hand. One ten inch bass that had to have my little dog hair jig before a bush ate it. And one eleven inch Crappie that really gave me what for on my TSS rod for his size. 40* at launch at 9:30 and pulled three hours later to temps in the fifties. The wind was out of the northwest and where I fished has a tree lined north bank that I thought might warn up a little sooner and it’s just a little deeper. Didn’t work that way but it was a nice sentiment. Glass calm water and bluebird skies after the front went through were enjoyable but the fish didn’t get the email. I spent a good bit of time just looking around and enjoying the day, it was sho nuf pretty outside. Looking forward to the upcoming weekend. Might get some company and spend some time fishing, maybe even some of those days off during the week you guys talk of. Y’all stay warm, tight lines……..Skeet

LV, I’m looking forward to when the crappie are done bedding and the different varieties of gills and such go on the beds. The redbreast hit harder than any other around here, and they little fellers!

I'm same here, Skeet. The green sunfish, (a pest every else) are notorious top-water lure chasers and a hoot to catch. Hell some of them so feisty their heads are smaller than the triple hook but they somehow can get it inside the mouth....gotta go figure this one out at times

Glad you got out to wet a line . Sounds like you had a good time .
I let the wind around here keep me home today .
Maybe tomorrow.

It kept me home yesterday, gusts to 40. 28 when I woke up this morning. I waited for things to warm up some before I got brave enough to go.
