    The first one I built I made a cradle. Wrapped by hand and then sat up most of the night turning by hand to keep the flexcoat level. That was well over 20 years ago.

    Jack, if you do get into it I’ll send you a motor for the turner/drier like I used on mine. You’re kinda like me, see something and build what you need. The motor is from a microwave oven turntable. Piece of cake. I would advise a slip Chuck from mudhole though, makes finishing so much easier.

    Never thought about that as a source for a motor. Thank you for the offer. I am thinking rod building for the summer time when it is too hot to be out fishing. I am about to start building some structure to start sinking.
