I know the feeling of seeing that flag flyin' away, even after puttin' a good shot on 'em... and all of the sinkin' thoughts that follow... all too well.
A beautiful buck for sure... and one to be proud of... especially since it was a memory made with family. Well done bro!!!

hunting alone has it's up sides , but to be sure hunting with the wife and child is pretty darn fun .
next year for sure the grandson will be with me , this year he is a bit on the can't hold still enough just yet .
next year at 3.5 he will be just about right to really scare them off when they show up
thanks for the reads and comments , bought don't get much better, field dressed and ready for departure before last light is really nice .

thought he would a dropped from a hit that hard in the shoulder , it shattered it and he apparently wasn't turned totally broadside and the bullet exited on the opposite side at the base of his neck , watching him clear the feeder and land on the other side was just about as wild a thing in the deer woods as I can remember for sure.
thankful for the recovery is me , if I would have lost him it would a broke my heart into multiple pcs.
