Hit my out of the way, good weekend, no wake lake today. Day started out pretty foggy.Name: IMG_20211009_100444406.jpg

Long lined around the entire lake before I caught my first crappie. A solid 10.5 in fish.

Thinking it was going to just be a slow day I took a quick pic and released it. That must have pleased the fish gods as it was like a light switch flipped. I quickly landed a few bass and then hooked a walleye that broke off at the boat. I continued on and landed a keeper walleye.

Continued on and landed 3 more walleye and had another one spit the jig before I could net it. Landed my last good crappie also.

The largest walleye fortunately hit the new BnM spinning rod I recently won. The other 3 came on the 11' BnM. They fight pretty hard on an 11' crappie rod!!! Pretty fun day over all.

Wish I could have gone along but, alas, I had a bathroom to work on. Nice bunch of fish for a lake with no fish in it (so I've been told).

Wonder if it’s the same lake that I used to ride my bike to as a kid.

There was no access for 4 years when it was first created. I would ride my bike, and wade the beaches casting for trout.

To the South of the launch, that small section of what used to be a valley, was the location of my Grand Dads favorite deer blind location.

That’s if we’re talking about the same lake w/ no fish…….

Yes please report on the 75th Anniversary combo. I think I want to get one maybe when they are available. I hear good things so far.
