    Are these here pecking like a chicken fools I tell ya
    it would lead one to think the crappie are deeper ....
    not the case , they are right in there amongst them .....
    trying to steal a snack out of the crowd maybe ?
    not sure but they sure are a pain when they ain't what I am after

    Had an afternoon full of them last Friday. That is the only thing I found on the river docks

    spent the day ketchn these yesterday when the niece called and said her 7yo is into fishing and she wanted the family fishing dude to show him how. bought some worms to make sure he and my grandkids got to ketch something and boy they had a blast.

    I call them tail-peckers - little peckers for short. Best way I've found is to downsize my grubs to 1" in length. The little guys almost always get hooked. Much of the time though, for some reason, the little ones get hooked on 2" lures.

    when we see them get down in the brush piles with the crappie we know it is about to be fall , they start going deeper when the sun starts to lessen in these parts , wont be long before they are sitting on the bottom here

    if they are in numbers and ruining my crappie outing I downsize and hurt them for good measure sometimes .....

    get the UL outfit going with the trout magnets and have a ball I tell ya! they go crazy and it's fun and nothing wrong with that and you get the bonus bigger crappie in there as well.
