Thread: A little better at Louie

Got up early and was greeted by a relatively cool morning with fog and smoke? Got some shiners at U-Pak and headed for Sicily Island. One truck at launch and he and his dog came in when I launched. I had tried to sink a couple pallets the last time I was there with one cinder block. It takes one cinder block for each pallet. That chore done, started spider rigging shiners in 10-12 fow. There were a lot of Shad on the surface closer to shore. Moved there and caught a few small crappie and one decent crappie. Tried some other spots. Head waters was muddier. Back down and tried 14 fow near some deep stumps. Caught the best fish of the day there, but only two. Tried the first place again. There were some fish on the pallets already, but they wouldn’t bite. By then the sun was out and it was hot. Skippa I think we should have gone to Louie. Good luck this weekend!!
