    hit my jig , right down in the massive herds of crappie is one of them about every trip,

    Those and the redbreast are tops on my list of attitude. They try to pull the rod from your hands sometimes. That’s a pretty little feller.

    once a year we ketch one big enough to eat , not sure why but there are almost none that get big there , the lake is over run with flatheads though and we all know them are about the best ever flat head baits ....

    Does sound like the flatheads are keeping them thinned out

    Looks like they like playing with the big boys. Maybe that helps them prevent becoming dinner!

    there are numbers of them compared to rest of this area on warmouth , but none edible size very often .

    they replace rock bass for the most part in southern waters ,they have a huge amount of variance in colors here depending on what time of year and what water they came out of , some of them are flat out aquarium quality beautiful for sure
