Missed you out there today. We had a good day shallow too. Put around 20 in the boat. It started as a tutorial trip on using my livescope and ended with my front battery running out of power. Forgot to charge them last weekend. Got hot out there pretty quick. Glad I had some iced water with me.

Had a good week at Shenango Lake Crappie fishing with friends. Three days, six guys, six limits. Done all three days before eleven o’clock. Shallow water bite is good. Jig and bobber was a lot of fun. I’ll never get tired of watching that bobber disappear. Set the hook and reel in that slab.

Took a friend up with me on Friday to Shenango and also got our 2 man limit in shallow before 11am. We tried a spot that I knew and a couple spots he knew about and all 3 had fish. Also got about 4 nice bluegills.

I shore fished this morning and iced 13 nice fish and released many more shorts for future reference. After cleaning the fish it appears the spawn is in the later innings at Shenango in the shallower bays at least.

Headed up this morning to see what’s goin on with the crappies. They may have moved to the deeper brush by now. I’ll post if I find them. Gonna try your shore area too.

Hope you had some luck Ken. I shore fished Lake Arthur this AM before the rains came and iced some nice bluegills on black trout magnets. I just finished the fillet work. All fish had spawned so the tail end of that routine arrived as expected. A 13” bass grabbed the trout magnet as well and is swimming happily again.
