Your MEGA 360 is so much clearer than mine.

Try completely stopping when you want to take a SnapShot ... the more the boat is moving - the more the image blurs ...

And I normally fish with 360 sweep speed on 3 for faster screen refresh ... but I may slow 360 sweep speed down to 2 when taking a SnapShot ...

Cool pics..............I never considered 360 much since mostly river fishing but I have new electronics in my future. Trying to figure out what to keep and go forward and what to up-grade. I'm going to leave one boat on The Rez in storage so I don't have to drag it back and forth. It's so rotten in the hull better to leave it close to Rez. Your pictures have me considering a 360.

When using Mega 360 does the water column beneath the boat effect how you figure the distance from the boat to an object like it does when using side imaging?
I may be getting older but I refuse to grow up.

Good question as I’m going to a side imagining unit and I’m seeking information and techniques to using those units.

Yes the water depth is part of the equation in 360 slant range just like in SI ...

So the example of my boat pic

I don't cast well enough for the .71 foot to make much difference in my accuracy when trying to get near the cover.

Point well taken Gone Fishin’ ...thank you ... and also a point I hope many take note of ...

The difference in “360/SI slant range” distance (math crap) and actual “horizontal distance” (in 360 and SI) is minimal in water depths of less than 30ft ...

360 and SI imaging (in relation to “where do I cast”) = = =

“left to right” is way more important than “how far do I cast” ...
