    You got my wheels turning in my head.... i might beat you to them pads in flint lol... I’m going to pull the boat to work tomorrow and fish wheeler somewhere... not sure if i will go to the Y, or try somewhere new, I’ve been wanting to run up in Swan creek and see if i can find any there.. who knows where I will end up.

    Went and tried them yesterday. Caught a few pretty nice gills but no crappie. Still fun.

    I’ve had some luck in Cooters Pond in the lilies around the RTJ golf course. Like Slabprowler, I dipped a jig in holes. Lilies can be tough when you hang up.

    We were part of that group as well. Loved fishing the lily pad stems. We always used 17# line so if we ever hooked one you could just pull it out of the bottom without loosing your rig. We loaded the boat in Flint and Susie hole. Not so much anymore though...

    I have smoked them in the lilypads in Flint creek voth around Hwy 67 and further down in the big slough that runs under I65 bridge and have caught them both dipping minnows and jigs in the holes or spider rigging the edges of the pads
