I have one that I have had back in my bassin days. Can’t remember where I got it. Look around some tackle stores they may have some or might know where you can find one.

Plastics ones break or fly out of the boat or get stepped on. Most of the ones I can pick up start measuring at 10" some even 12" for bass fisherman market. Then they get all crusty with slime or scratched up and you can't read the numbers and you end marking on the device any way. For 8$ and 5 minutes of my time I was able to make 2 crappie measures that where exactly like I needed and wanted. But the main reason I did it was because I can.

Seems like a lot of effort just to reproduce the same product. You can get exactly what you’re describing for $12 bucks at the bait shop.
