Default June is time for crappie. 6/01/2020

I wasn’t lying when I told everyone that I would start crappie fishing again in June. Jay W went with me and thought that I was rusty and maybe so. But a chilly north wind that gave tiny whitecaps seemed to put a damper on the fishing. It did for me as I was wearing a sleeveless shirt and nearly froze until the sun came up and then it was partly cloudy then. Grin.

What we lacked in numbers, we sort of made up with nice keepers. 8 total keepers and we quit at 11. I added a nice keeper bass that went home with me. Jay kept the crappie for wife and 3 kids. Grin.

75.4 degree water at the Wolftever bridge on Chickamauga lake, 45,000 cfs current flow in the main river. Bobby Garland slab slayers caught my fish. I think Jay’s also.

I am including a pic of my first ever saltwater fishing adventure. I can now mark this off my bucket list. But I want to go again in the early spring to fish for Sheepshead, Speckled trout and Redfish. It was a great two days of fishing with friends.

Hope you put some sunscreen on those arms. Cool and a little windy here this morning also. Glad to see you back out, and good catch.

I had a great time as always. I am sure that the rust has been removed since you out fished me again. Great salt water pics.

Stan I take the better odds when it comes to sunscreen. Dr Williams said in an article that I read several years ago that people who use sunscreen get 65% more skin cancers than those who don’t use it. I never have and never had, so I just wear long sleeve shirts when I get to the point that I don’t need more sun. Lolol. I was covered up down in the gulf.
