Default "Layne's Lures" - hand-tied crappie jigs - new forum supporter

First of all, thanks for checking out this ad and for the chance to connect with those who enjoy catching one of the best-eating fish there is! When you are 14-years old, there aren't many job opportunities available other than mowing yards, so how do you use your time to get even more enjoyment out of your favorite hobby? You combine your time and talent to create your own opportunity to work...welcome to "Layne's Lures"! What started as a hobby when I gave him a vise several years ago has now become an opportunity to create the chance to work for himself and maybe help meet your needs at the same time. As a way to help share his story and love of fishing and all things related to it, our daughter set up this blog: (All of the crappie pictures are of fish we caught this spring using jigs he tied. Many of the trout were caught on his own hand-tied flies and jigs, too.)

Layne's Lures – custom jigs & flies — fishing adventures

We have joined as supporters of the forum and look forward to connecting with members here who share this passion for catching these fish. Layne has quite a few jigs tied already and is anxious to have fishermen try the jigs he is tying. They have worked very well for us. Shipping will vary depending on jig size (he is currently tying 1/8, 3/16, and 1/4 oz.) and quantity ordered with obvious savings if you order more. If ordering the heavier jigs, especially, the USPS small flat rate boxes can offer the best savings, depending on quantity. We will plan to post once/week with combination packs of jigs that are available and you are welcome to send a pm with orders and questions, too. If there is a custom color combination you would like please let us know and I will confirm with Layne based on materials currently available.

Thanks again for looking & good luck on the water!

Welcome to the board and thanks for becoming a sponsor. Any plans for lighter jig weights than 1/8 ounce? Personally, 1/32 and 1/16 are my go-to weights; 1/8 is the heaviest I've used.

Congratulations and good luck with the new venture!
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.

    Default lighter jigs

Thanks! I just asked Layne and he does have 1/32 oz. jig heads we picked up earlier still available to tie. We are getting 1/16 and 1/32 jig heads, too, but don't have them in yet. I will send you a pm.
