Tried the auto translate on the laptop, works! Still don't know what in the hell they are talking about for the most part, but I'm trying!
My Tict SRAM came today. Looks nice, thin and stiff. Should be an excellent jig rod and dock shooter. I put a Daiwa Regal 2000D on there, best reel out there under $50 IMO. Will try it out tomorrow on Lanier.

Congrats on the new rod. I have been wanting a Tict Ajing rod for years.....but I need another Ajing rod like a hole in the head. Tict a couple of years back quit putting graphite content in the rod model charts. That rod has a graphite content of 99.8 percent. That is going to be one very sensitive rod. You and Scott are the only 2 guys in the world that I know of that will shoot docks with that rod....y’all must have nerves of steel....LOL.

Thanks, Randy, I think this rod is going to be a winner.
About the dock-shooting, I think it is not going to break these rods the way we do it. It isn't necessary to get a huge bend in the rod just pulling a jig from near the first guide to the reel, and the fast tips shoot with enough velocity to get the jig all the way under a long pontoon or deck to where the fish are on the sonar. The biggest head I use is 1/24 oz, mostly 1/32 oz, or Daiwa 1.5 g, so we aren't exceeding the lure weight, nor the line strength. Well, maybe a little on the line, but the drag is set right.
Any stiff rod will shoot a jig. The reason I use a JDM rod for shooting is, after the shot, you never wonder if you just got bit - you automatically yank a hook set as soon as you feel that thump, or loss of weight, or sudden weight, that often happens before you start the retrieve. You will feel more strikes on the drop - you feel everything, and it becomes like a seventh sense. I put more fish in the boat using these rods. Thanks for turning me on to them.
My Yamaga BC and Ice Cube I do not shoot with, those are strictly for casting/jigging. The Yamaga is my go-to trout rod.
