Water is still nasty day before yesterday. Only bass guys heading out that I saw. Cat fishermen were on the pier and doing nothing. You could only see rocks at the edge of the bank in about 3 inches. It's going to be awhile to clear up. I'm back working again this week and it won't be me looking for any fish. Hope you can find them!

Surely a perch could find a red worm in muddy water.

It was tough on Sunday. The few that we caught were good sized, but I'll emphasize FEW. Water was so muddy it looked like you could walk across it.

In my experience fishing for perch with redworms for many years, not really so. You'll find some stragglers that will hit, mark lots of them, but not get a whole lot of strikes. Ironically being as unpicky as they are, you would think perch would be a sure bet in bad conditions like muddy water. If the lake is muddy I don't even bother for perch anymore.

Went to withers cove today. It was fishable . Went down to Catawba creek and found immediate change. Obviously because below south fork muddy river. N E wind was pushing water very fast downriver so hopefully it will filter out soon! I can only assume the whole Catawba channel below south fork is still rough. Meaning Allison and everyone else is probably still bad. Maybe I’m wrong. Wish I could be of more help.
