Back to the mud hole with a different weapon and the same bait. We received 1.5 more inches of rain overnight, but the afternoon was forecast to be clearing and cold. I came home after work and put a casserole in the oven, set the timer and told the wife to watch it and take it out after 30 minutes, I was headed to the lake. Picked up the Majorcraft Triple Cross 7.3Aji with the Luvias 1003 spooled with the 3lb Unitaka Braid and out the door I went.

I have not used this combination since November 27 of last year, but the line was just as supple as new and exhibited no memory coil what so ever. The only negative to the line is muddy water will stain the surface of the fibers. You can see that in the above picture. Anyway, conditions were worse water wise, lots of floating trash in addition to the mud and foam, but the Panfish were hungry.

?7-8in hand-sized Gills were present tonight, fine by me. Right after this fish was caught, my phone battery went dead, no more pics. Figures, went on to catch several more Cricket Crunchers. No White Bass tonight, but I feel they were somewhere in the turbulent waters, just did not drag the Green Weenie Trout Magnet in their face.

My dad dropshots with the same length triple cross. Looks like you had a good time! It had cooled down quite a bit once I got off work. You are dedicated with the temp change and that chocolate water... haha... glad you got after em!

Good job catching fish in less than ideal conditions. I need to get out and wet a line too but our creeks and lakes look about the same here. I might get a chance to try out the secret bait this weekend in some muddy water. Hopefully Arkansas fish like it too!

Awesome! You’re definitely a trooper! Out of all the tackle that you referenced, Green Weenie is the only one that I can pronounce!

Good job in tough conditions. I’ll take 8” gills any time.
