    Default Great meeting and making new friends here


    I recently saw an ad in the classifieds for a set of Cornfield Crappie Gear drift paddles. They were advertised by southeast_iowa_guy. I knew I was all over them for the price but shipping was going to be an issue. I contacted Brad and arranged us meeting some time later so I could pick them up. He wouldn't let me pay him even a deposit, he said he trusted me. Him being from south LA and me from KY, we decided to meet at Grenada while he and a buddy were fishing there this week.

    I drove the 4.5 hours to Grenada in a driving thunderstorm. Coming thru Memphis before daylight in a storm made for interesting driving. I called T-man to meet us for breakfast. The 4 of us had a great visit over buffet breakfast at Shoney's.

    It never ceases to amaze me how many friends I have met from this site. Brad and I will hook up next spring so I can teach him about pulling cranks and Livescope.

    Great point Scott. Actually Tom just had coffee. I've never seen him eat breakfast anywhere but KFC in Grenada (which is swear he has to own) and Fast Eddie's at Jonathan Creek. He said he had already ate but he sure did eye my plate.
