I need to get these deer processed before Wednesday so I can hunt Thanksgiving weekend.

No birds....several flocks were flying in the area though they did not come close enough.

New video is up....making smoked venison sausage..... I know you love to laugh I said the S word and didn’t realize it till too late

wife and daughters helped me with grinding and packaging our 5 deer on Saturday.
started at 8 am , finished at 4:30
194 packages of ven burger , aprox 1-1/2 lb packages, with pork and bacon added.
used our light commercial vac sealer for all of it , almost filled a small chest freezer!
girls only have small freezers so I am the storage unit !
I enjoyed every minute of it!
did all the steaks Thursday night. , may have room for one more................

I start tonight.

The good news is that I have my garage heater fixed, so it will be tolerable.
I will get the knives ready, and lights on, and start. Should not take to long.

Then clean up the next night, and then be ready for two more tags to go by Turkey Day.

I just keep thinking, why didn't this happen while I was on Vacation for a week, but in that 10 days of dedicated time hunting, only 3.5 were spent in the woods.

Well,
After getting home @ 6:05 The garage heater was fired up.

Spent about 3 hours cutting, bagging, and cleaning afterwards.

My truck still looks like a horror movie, and needs to be cleaned, but I do not usually do that until after the Thanks Giving weekend hunts.

Getting some items for Summer Sausage to make over the weekend as well.
Not as fancy stuff that Steve showed in his video, but just fine for one old guy to sit there and make tasty treats.

Gonna sit tonight and see if we can add another one of them soybean and corn eating freeloaders for the canner.
