When the water got high this spring.... remember when it was almost to the store...it washed away a lot of the established structure. They still there they just ain't where they used to be. The crappie I catch can't be eaten by no bird because they live under the water. And they couldn't swallow them if they could catch them. Of course they eat some of the forage but cycle of life it is returned back to the water. Got pictures of this years bait forage but poor signal at this time.

I was pier fishing on the Gulf of Mexico and there were pin fish ( looks like a bream, lives in salt water, the pins are the rays of the dorsal fins. Like sharp needles) killing my minnows I was using for flounder. I looked one of the little killers and tossed him on the pier. He ended up being a late night pelican snack. They can swallow a fairly large fish.
