I made holders for my needle nose pliers and forceps to keep them handy while spider rigging. The one for the needle nose pliers is made from a piece of shift tube out of the steering column off of a Ford pick up. The one for the forceps is made from a piece cut off of an aluminum tent stake. Both are held in place with a hose clamp. I worked as a mechanic for over 40 years and learned to fabricate a few things when needed.Name: KIMG0124.JPG

We fish for everything from trout & panfish to muskie. I got tired of storing rods all over the place. Every time we switched species it was a 2 hr. job swapping rods into the boat. Most of them are now hung by these homemade racks right over the boat. Also rigged spots for my night lights and bimini top. Now it is a 2 minute chore to change them out. Climb in the boat once and have at it!

Mchech, that’s a great idea. I’ve been hanging mine for near 20 years. I use hooks that were made to hold the center of the clothes pole in your closer for the heavy end, and 1” cup hooks for the lighter end. I also stagger them 2’ and get twice as many in the same space.

Skeet ...... Looks great. I bet you have to work pretty hard to break them when they are overhead.

When respooling reels..chuck up an old bolt or drill bit in your drill, wrap line around it a few times, open the bail and hit the drill. Saves lots of time and keeps your mess contained.
