    Default Joe Pool Flooded Again

The Corp closed the dam this past week and the marina parking lots are now flooded. A few brave souls were parking in the overflow/boat parking lot and wading into the marina area. As the run off continues that will probably be hard to do,.

Sure hope the Corp does not keep the dam locks closed for very long this time.

How about bringing your jon boat and ferrying me to the slip today? I wasn't able to get to the slip yesterday and I''m just about the point of bouncing off the walls be not being able to get to the slips.

I went over this morning and took some pictures. As you could expect the water is as smooth as glass. It is a perfect day to be on the lake and I can't get to my boats.

I don't know if they plan to ferry people to the slips like they did the last time. But it was only available from 9 a.m to 5 po.m so it really didn't help that much as I like to stay much later. I'm thinking about just sleeping on the cruiser for a few days if they leave the electric power on for the marina. But if the water keeps coming up they will be forced to shut that off.

I called them and they stated they were building a walkway across the water so you could get to the slips. So maybe I will get to wet a line this afternoon.

only need the jon boat if we stay past dark. Right now they are providing chauffeur service to the docks until it gets dark. If it appears it might take weeks for the corp to lower the lake level they may build a temporary bridge as they did a few years back. And given the mess in Houston I suspect it will be weeks.

I took my boat out until 7 pm yesterday but only had a dink fest. Caught a bunch of small ones but no keepers. Then came back and fished the slip for an hour. Caught a lot of hand sized blue gill with an ultralight rod, had a ton of fun.

Are the bluegills biting over at the barge area too EZ? It seems about time. Well, it probably doesn't really matter much either way if nobody can get to the barge. Or if all y'alls good work over at the slips are stealing all the barge fish away I've pondered that theory for a little while now lol
