Default Candi had a banner day. 3/13/19

CUonthelake made me eat my words from our last fishing trip together as I bragged about the teacher taking the student to school. Well, today on the Chickamauga lake, she turned the tables on me and caught most of the fish that we landed. Grin.

i can’t believe that some men think that she doesn’t know how to fish, but she will fish circles around most any crappie fisherman out there including me. I love watching her bring those keepers into the boat. She was the Drumking today as she caught one of my pets early. She also caught a tiny Smallmouth bass and one Largemouth bass in addition to the crappie that we landed. I think that that I had only 3 keepers today. Lolol.

it got so windy out there a little while after one pm, that we decided to put the boat on the trailer, but we had to cross an angry river that had 4 foot rollers and severe white capping before we got to the calmer side of the river. Biggest water that I have been in the new boat, but it handled it well.

We caught our fish on docks on a variety of lures and colors. It didn’t seem to matter today about the color of plastics. Also, the water is clearing up fast and had a milky green color in the section of lake that we were fishing. Tva was spilling at 145,000 cfs while we were out and the lake info site says they are slowing down to the 130,000 cfs for the next couple of days.

Candi fished with Bobby Garland Slab Slayers which rule the Chick while I stuck with Stump Bugs in various colors. I missed several bites today, and I’m going to blame it on the wind. Lolol. I need a day or two of rest, so I’m off the lake until either Friday or Sunday.

    Enjoy the pics.

Nice catch, good looking keepers. Sounds like typical March weather with that wind, wreaks havoc with the light line.

WTG Candi! Sounds like the new boat did well. 4 foot waves are hard to deal with.
Life is good. Fishing is better.
