Reading all this orange stuff reminded me that last year I won a couple of Slab's contest and had a box full of Crappie jig tales that I hadn't had time to look through.
These are all the ones with orange on them. Now I want to go fishing.

I always shunned anything orange just to aggravate my Poppa, I’d tell him I’d eat raw on a cracker anything he caught on ORANGE. I Refuse to fish anything Jack-O-Punkin’ colored.

“For whatever reason, orange seems to be the color Mother Nature chose to dot the tips of the pinchers, which likely serves as an advantage as they seek one another for reproduction, and also a warning color for predator fish to ‘stay away’ – but somewhat unfortunate for the crawfish, the contrasting orange also helps bass to find them even in off colored water,”

I could be wrong but I think Ellie May is holding a Crappie Jig pole in that picture !!! That's my story and i'm sticking with it.
