    Default The Tchfucate river

Last trip was Christmas eve. Been to long. Da withdrawals wuz ruff. My tow vehicle was out commission. Got it straight.

Rivers are down. Time for catching.

Woke at 0500. Too early I say. Roll over for another hour. Grabed a couple of packs of peanut butter crackers and out dat door. Turn on da I12 east and Set the cruise.

Stop n @ Ronnie boudin on airport road for one of his world famous smoked sausage and egg samwitch. Gotta have my protein.

Pulled into the landing @ 0800. Conditions were perfect.
Cold n colder. water wuz low n muddy. Don't get mo better. No wind early picked up midmorning. Water started coming up with dat wind.

Lots of smallies. Had a big green trout jump up and spit dat jig right back at me. ;(

All feesh caught tight line black n green n chartreuse tube

Nice catch. I’ve been wanting to make a trip over there but been too busy hunting. Where do you launch at, the state park?

    Never have launch there.

In Covington There's a public concrete launch north of the Interstate. It's called the 4th street launch behind the Hospital off LA21. There a gravel launch south of the interstate @ the end of 3 rivers road.

There is a gravel public launch on the north east corner of LA 22 in Madisonville. There's a concrete paid launch @ Marina Del Ray on the south east side of the 22 bridge.
