Default Cypress anyone done any good?

I haven't seen any reports from Cypress lately. Its my favorite drifting spot. Last year I went a few times with little success. drove out there yesterday morning, two boats there nobody caught more than a few. Seems it hasn't been like the good ol' days since they removed the reeds along edge between the Parks rd launch and the damn.

Hey man I haven't been able to fish very much this year. ..So I can't give you any first-hand knowledge.
I talked to a friend a couple weeks ago and he shot me pic of a live well full of slabs
    He's mostly a jig fisherman
and gets them every time he goes out there
Still plenty out there but they done got educated
If you get to go catch 1 for me

Howdy Greg, aint been on here in a while. We caught those out front of parks rd. launch, right before all the rain. We went back last week after the rain, the day after the launches opened back up, and managed 5, water was way up and it was slow. A friend of mine was also there, and he could only manage 5 as well. Should be getting better.

Yes the launches are back open.

Merry Christmas, hope everyone gets plenty of fishing goodies.

I figured theygotaeat wiped them out the last couple years, and they just need to repopulate.

Went post rain right after they reopened the launches, mid day and kept 20 good ones. Didnt take a pic but they were hitting elec chicken, minnows, and black chartreuse. About 15 to 18ft water 3 to 8 ft deep. Caught a few off bottom also.

I know I saw them on my graph up high. I'm guessing current and oxygen levels maybe.
Reminded me of the darbonne crappie masters few years back when it was high and muddy with current. Didn't see much bait high either

they killed all the damn grass, cattails, or whatever they were. They are not native plants but planted for erosion.
Best march pattern ever. gone. they sprayed one end to the other last year.
