    Default Picked up slabs

I managed to get out last saturday and monday for a few hours to fish. Simple plan for the day. See a tree, fish a tree. I used minnows and single poled straight down the timber between 16 and 20ft deep. I do not know the depth of the water due to my member donated unit fried out. My guess would ve 24-28 FOW. I manafed 8 the first day and 6 the second but all were nice thick slabs. Best part is my 6yr old getting to reel them in. Nothing better than that. Hope everyone is enjoying the cooler weather and the fall bite!Name: IMG_20181029_193226_826.jpg

Great report! Kids look happy to catch those big slabs! Great dad for taking them out! Well done! Minnows are the BEST bait to catch BIG crappie. Proven fact!

Excellent report and thanks. Could not fish but tickled when my baby boy shot a gorgeous 10 point. Oh, and he is 35 (smile) but hunting with me since he was 8.

Well, tried to add picture but got orange lined screen when I went to file attachments.

Wow!!! You found some hefty ones there. Congrats on a great day. I'm sure it was a blast seeing your boy dealing with those slabs.
Thanks for sharing your days and the pics with us.

The oldest boy and i were the only ones in the boat. He had a blast trying to reel them in. The younger just likes when I clean them so he can put them in the bucket after I fillet them
