    Default Michigan 2019 spring camp

Fall camp is in the rear view mirror and it's time to announce the location of the spring camp. After much research, Jeff and I have decided to hold the spring camp at

Northern Exposure Campground on Hodenpyle Dam Pond in Mesick. The dates will be Friday June 7-Sunday June 9. Reservation can be made starting January 15 and I'm working on having them set aside a block of sites that are together along with several cabins (they have 5). Stay tuned for more information.

So, you are saying that I won't get in any crappie fishing as I will be too busy trout fishing and walleye fishing?

On a side note, I do know a honey hole of a lake about 5 miles away that is tucked back up in the woods with limited access. Last I remember, the pike and crappie fishing was dynamite!

I'll have to check out the tournament rules on that note. Make sure you're not violating, Rich.

I talked with Northern Exposure again today. They said the best way to guarantee that our group will be together is for one person to call on January 15 at 9 am and reserve a block of sites under Michigan Crappie.com. I will be doing the calling, so between now and January 14 I need a head count. All sites have electric and water but there are no full hook up sites. They have some large pull through sites I have my eye on. There are a couple of dump stations on site for those that need them. They also have 5 cabins (no bathroom or kitchen) for those without campers.

Once I have a block of sites reserved, I will make a post letting everyone know, along with the numbers of the sites/cabins reserved. From there, it's up to you to call and claim your site from those I have reserved.

Are all of those sites on the water with docks seasonal?

There are dock slips you can rent for 5.00 a day if any are available. The area I am going to try and get is the cul-de-sac on the east end with the pull through sites.
