It was a slow day. We only caught 33 and were both to lazy to clean fish so we did not keep any.

I had to fish by myself yesterday. What’s the world coming to? Cleaned 30 of 48.

It’s raining today so I can’t fish or go to the deer woods. I guess I will have to rest and enjoy the fruit of my labors.

Piglet and some home made sausage.

From the numbers I can gather it seems the lake has risen 18” since I was on it Friday.

Tell me about that sausage Wrangler.

I make it from wild pigs I harvest every fall and winter. Regular breakfast sausage and Italian sausage I make from my own recipe but that particular link sausage I make from a store bought mix I get at Walton’s. It is a garlic and herb sausage that someone made and brought to a men’s fellowship to have as hot dogs. I like it so well I asked for the recipe.

The lake is up 2' since Friday when I was last out. That is according to the Corp's website. I am told there are trees floating everywhere so I think I will go check it out for myself. It will be a solo trip as my fishing buddies are not up for the challenge.
