Change the Max depth to 100 --- if it has network connection remove it and recheck

I have no idea what that is.

I don't have it connected to the ducer that's built into the TM.

"Depth Offset" under the Setup tab is HB's term for keel offset ...

Can I hook the unit to my Mega transducer to check and see if it’s a ducer issue or is there just something wrong with the unit and it’ll have to go back?
Have you checked the transducer cable for damage?

There is no visible damage to the cable. That doesn't mean there isn't something internal, meaning a pinched wire or something like that. It's still acting crazy. Reading 500+ feet in 10 feet of water. It's getting aggravating. I'm going to call H'bird tomorrow.....

When you reset to defaults, you most likely went to a different transducer in your setting. Might want to check that out. The original problem sounds like your sonar was off to me too. Helix 10 problem

Ignorance again here.... Where do I go to set the ducer to the correct one?

That was my first inclination also until I saw the picture. Sonar was shown, albeit crazy???
