sold my 2006 triton vt17 and just got this 2015 rt188. although I wish - I think - I could find multi species V-hull at the similar year and cost.. seems impossible in this area. This was very reasonably priced.

I see that you have mounted rod holders on your RT188. I have a new RT178 and need to mount rod holders. What did you use to fasten the rod holder bases to the aluminum deck?

How do you like the Spyderlok rod holders. My son-in-law has mounted one on his boat. I have always used Driftmaster. I am considering on changing to Spyderlok but need input from some who has used them.

Also, how did you mount them to the deck. I cannot get under my aluminum deck.

There should be a law against having a boat that pretty going down the highway OR on the water.
