That’s a heck of a net full of fishes! Good catch, nice looking rods. Still stuck on St. Croix, but seriously looking.

That's super duper, glad you're happy. I need to buy a couple of JDM rods myself. If they're that good, I wonder why more people don't buy them?

I've been looking for a minute, trying to decide.

Most people don't want to spend a lot of money on a bluegill/crappie rod.

Bass guys and fly guys will take out a second mortgage to buy premium rods. Panfish guys? Not so much.

There's really that much difference in the JDM rods and domestic rods?

    .
I think it’s more to do with warranty . If I’m paying $100 or more for a rod , I want a reliable , easy to do warranty . Also , I think most people think the JDM rods are fragile . At least not as durable as a St. Croix or other domestic rod . Gillchaser

    Yes.

Take a look at this thread. This is not a UL rod in action, but it's a taste of what the Japanese can do with graphite.
