Only buy stainless .
I pre-rig my plastics with screw lock jig heads and use a double rig with two fast snaps. This let’s me change out my baits quickly so that I can figure out what color(s) the fish want (without damage to the bait). It works just as well with hand tied jigs.
I may still have the picture somewhere, but I have caught fish before that were actually hooked on the fasnap. I've used them for about 20 years as well. Size large is definitely the way to go. I will say this, there have been several fish to have twisted the right way and get off with my jig. It has only happened about 4-5 times through the years and it's been on really old snaps.
short grub LIKED above post
I bought size medium a couple of years ago. when I was re rigging a broken line I dropped one of the little buggers. the wind caught it before it hit the deck and it has never been seen again. In stainless it would have had a chance to be spotted but black -- not a chance...
bought mine from someone on this site. think they were 10.00 a hundred
If you're looking for quantity in any size, small to extra-large, buy them from
"MEATGETTER" on this site. He sells them by the card quantity of 120 for $25.00
I believe. Great for tying rigs! And when you're tying rigs that are of different
lengths between hooks, jigs or what have you, you'll go thru them pretty quick!

I used them for 15-20 years. I had trouble with them spreading and the jigs coming off. I just tie a loop knot now.
I bought mine from MEATGETTER as well.
Meatgetter is the way to go, get the large
