Fished at the dock a little this weekend. Ended up cleaning only 12. The bite was slow, fishing with minnows around 5' in 18 FOW. Water temp was reading 62. At least my otter-proof fish box held up for me this weekend. Worried the rain coming in this week will really mess up the fishing around the dock for next weekend though.

The fishing on Eufaula has been really good the past 10 days most reports are coming from the north and south ends of the lake. The fish are starting to spawn way back in the main creeks and secondary creeks. Lots of fish are still in the pre spawn stage in the mouths of creeks and out in the lake they are starting to move from winter pattern in pre spawn pattern. The lake fish are around a month away I believe the firs of May they will be going crazy. This rain will make the wade fisherman really happy putting the buck bushes back in good water. Good luck and enjoy the spawn. EB

Hit Molly Brown early, without getting a bump. Only saw 4 fish caught. Moved down to Crowder. Got 15 good ones, to 13.5 inches. Cherry Mash Beaver Bottom did most of the damage, although I did get two 11 inchers on one hook at the same time on a crappie shooter as the upper jig. Gave the fish to some kids and a couple of fellow geezers (although Redge was not one of them). Will miss seeing all the guys at Kaw for the camp. Boss says he needs me.

Fished with a bobber right behind the softball field near the brush and then off the dock. Not too many people fishing the banks, but LOTS of boats. Most of the people on the dock were kids or geezers like me. Some guy that must have weighed 350-400 pounds fell into the lake when he tried to step out onto one of the little platforms. Fortunately there were some strong young lads there, but they had a heck of a time getting him out of the water.
