Three of us fished Tuesday evening under the full moon, started off fishing around 6:00 we had about dozen between us but the bite did not get going good until between 9 to 11 which they were still biting but be had to pack it in by then. We ended up cleaning 40 with the biggest about 15 1/2" @ 1.9 lb. I kind of lost count on our catch and new we were close to our limit, would like to have that other 5 so we could have had an official limit out.

After Tuesday's performance we had to go back again last night, similar results except they dropped the lake level by 2 feet overnight so the bite was much slower, we did manage to box up 25 for the evening. Since the fish are on the bank they seemed to be hitting about anything but I had the most success with silver color baits.

We've been catching them up Flat Rock Creek in 2 to 3' of water. Haven't been back sence the water dropped. All big females with bloody eggs.

The U.S.A.C.E. contacted all of the marinas yesterday and said Ft. Gibson will go to 28ft that is to the top by Thursday. If I remember correctly from the last time it was this high it took about 6 to 8 weeks for thing to get back to normal, so looks like the Memorial Day weekend may be a mess.

    Default Fort Gibson 2017

Well I saw no one had posted anything in a while so here goes. Boat is in the shop so we Went to marina on Ft Gibson today and only caught a few shorts, 1 keeper and 3 blues 4 channels and a flathead all on lights out and blue ice slab slayers. Crappie fishing has been tough the last two sundays. Hopefully a more positive report next week! Tight lines

Had a fun time on Gibson yesterday. Caught 56, with 25 keepers (I let most go). They were thumping jigs and hitting minnows. Best lure was 1/4 oz Timmy Tom (white) with Frosty Mug Beaver Bottom. Fish were most active on piles in 12' or less. Name: IMG_1925.jpg
