You men are KILLING me with your fishing finding abilities! Bought a Hummingbird 999ci HD SI (may not be your brand but should do a good job.) this past winter but not finding the fish or brush piles. Do you think new glasses would help or is it the loose nut on the controls?

Got a chance to get the Lund out on Oo with KCMasterpiece yesterday fishing south of Goose all day so as to give Reapers back yard a little break. We learned the hard way that any fish we found out of the wind were not biters so we rocked and rolled all day and tried to decipher the constant jagged peaks on the big screen caused by the rise and fall of the boat! It was one of those days where we found a lot of inactive fish in and around brush- most piles would give up one or two and then lockjaw time. We dipped shallow structure and jig and corked good looking banks and cuts but goosegged there. Did see one guy sacking 10" males fishing a little cut with minnows set 2' under bobbers- he had the area surrounded. We had a great time- KC showing admirable patience with my trolling motor skills- and gave the lake back to the wind about 4:00. it was a catch and release day but I did relocate a few hefty girls to my place. So far I have not introduced any white crappie males to my pond but there are plenty of BC there so it will be interesting to see what comes of that. Couple of pictures here with the largest 15.5" long, spawned out at 1.85 lbs.

Caught 21 keepers tonight. Not bad for a couple of hours after work and with the windy conditions.

Size: 33.3 KBFished Sat from noon till 7, caught a bunch after I found them. Started in the main lake areas did very poor except on dinks, couldn't find a decent fish. Ran up some of the arms and killed em. 10-12 foot deep in the piles. Nothing more than 1.25 but the numbers were good. Still lots of females with eggs, couldnt get any shallow, but I really didnt try that hard. I used franks plastics and TT jigs. Color didnt seem to matter but they liked that long flat tail on the Mo magic for sure!

I also fished Saturday. I fished brush in 12-16FOW. Minnows on slip corks were my choice today with all the kids. We hit around 50 fish in 2.5 hours, keeping 31. One thing about kids, 3 inches or 3lbs, they love them all! Seeing the corks go under the entire time was like watching fireworks. It never got old!
