Fellers, I am gonna miss Crappie Camp and maybe Sardis too next week. When I looked up from this thread and asked C Cooker " Honey- what are we doing next weekend?" She gave me the Stinkeye and I braced myself for bad news. I forgot that this is our Thursday-Saturday monthly commitment in OKC. We just started this last month so I figured my memory lapse was excused but she is pretty serious about church assignments! Still hoping to spend a couple of days on Sardis taking a break from all those lite biters on oologah. Surely those southern crappie are thumping it!

Size: 31.3 KBBeautiful fall day on the water with fog in the morning. Late summer fishing pattern is winding down with the big fish spreading out. Lots of 3/4 to 1 LB fish, 5 fish from 1.25 to 1.5. Water was 70-76. Thermocline is all over the place from non-existent to 20'+ deep. Its harder to find the big fish in specific areas. I think that was the last trip for me to Sardis until deep winter or spring due to the tourney next week and deer hunting. It was a great run this year!

Size: 78.4 KB Found this vehicle a couple of weeks ago. It looks to be a SUV with a sun roof. I have been fishing it for more than a year but didnt know what it was until my last trip. I motored in and happened to be going the right speed and looking at the sonar at the right moment. I fished thru that sun roof and actually caught fish out of the interior of the vehicle this past summer. (If you remember Pappa, we fished it when you came down with me. It's that structure that I thought was excess concrete or rocks removed in the making of the ramp) If you look close at pic 4 you will notice the crappie hanging out by the back bumper, it was good for a couple of decent fish on this trip. The 5th pic is unrelated, it was just left on my card from last year.

My grandkids think that catching fish that are hanging out in an SUV would be the coolest thing ever. They wanted to know if I knew where that SUV was. Told them that they would have to ask you. Very nice post.
