Kayaked up the Little River this evening and caught something worth mentioning. 24.25" and 6.15# weighed at denver corner. Hooked into her trolling minnows on a 1/8oz jig. Personal best for me!

WC- really nice eye and fat as a pig too! If I thought I could find many of those I might give up the thump for a while chasing those big flaky fillets! Way to go- we would take a picture of that fish in Canada or anywhere else we caught it.

Doh! How'd I miss that one when one of my best friends had one. I remember one winter day hunting, we had driven through a creek and had to go down a fairly steep hill on my property. His brakes had ice on them which made for a rough ride until the ice burned off. Both of us let out a big sigh of relief!

I finally talked my buddy (who has a boat) to go out tonight. I have a diy green crappie light I'm anxious to try. Any ideas of a good spot to anchor and throw out the light? I'm thinking about the water tower place or by the damn over the cage or maybe a fishing marker. This may be my only shot this summer so I want to make it count! Thanks guys

West side of the Twin bridges were the creek runs. Heard stories of night light fishing there back in the day.

Well it didn't go very well. We sat on the cages for a few hours and only caught 4 dinks and a handful of four inch sand bass. Then we tried the water tower with no luck. My 50,000 lumen drop light only attracted topminnows, no shad at all even though there were plenty of schooling shad around. Lame!
