    The sickle hooks are not Eagle Claw they are Matzuo.

    Except Eagle Claw now makes a "sickle" style hook. Sounds like they're plenty sharp enough.
    While their gap looks smaller I'd prefer to hear about their bend ability, for lack of a better term.

    Yep.. Eagle Claw now makes sickle hooks, a bit different than matzuos but just as sharp according to my fingers. Got mine from Captain Hooks and tried some last weekend, I think they are a bit harder to bend than Matzuos, they can be reshaped without breaking. So overall, I do not see a big difference other than price is a bit lower. The profile is slightly different but just as effective. IMO
