7 1\2 inches or so & it was my first one caught this year. Rio Grande cichlid or Texas cichlid as there called in TX being that I live in Austin TX. Released back into the water to live another day!

Nice fish everyone. Had a couple BG over 10" while bass fishing with a squarebill the other day. No camera of course
You know its a BG when they start doin what I call "the crazy Ivan"
Red ear in my Virginia waters have no red on the ear either.
