    Ship, I believe people are getting confused by the terminology. The uv flashlights will make the glow lures glow, but the uv paint jobs that have become more popular in recent years on jigs, spoons and crankbaits will not glow after the light from the uv flashlight is removed, hence the uv properties of these lures that make them more visible underwater will only occur while they are being exposed to the ultraviolet light from the sun.http://www.fishingclub.com/magazine/...re-of-uv-lures
